BotanicallyWild

My botanical studies - are a huge amount of paintings, drawings and photographs all of the green and growing kind that fund my artistic addiction of the intricacies and intertwining of stems, stamens, bumpy roots, leaf veins, climbing vines, thorns, berries, wild undergrowth, tangled twigs and delicate petals. I love trees, plants, flowers and weeds. Here I look at tulips and roses, and other stunning flowers that possess the x factor in their stunning beauty. The garden is my home, and someone I can talk to. A little of what makes me tick to do with my botanical studies... 'weeds are the best ...trust me..look closer....look at the way they struggle and entangle and are promoted as bad and troublesome.... yet the flowers of weeds and the contrasts of the stems and stalks are fascinating..the imperfections are more beautiful than the cultivated more obvious flower... paint the tall grass, the buttercup...the clover, the dandelion, the daisy, the ivy..the overgrown undergrowth..the thistle... the herb robert..the tiny blue flowers in the meadows.. the bramble thorns .. the elderflower berries ..the nettle leaves... the twines around each-other show such strength and rooted vitality... ..big sigh! ... love the wild weed... and not the druggy sort either.....dead or alive.'
